Self-Portrait 6

Self-Portrait 6 uses the complete body of dialogue accumulated between Wen-Hsuan Kuo and artificial intelligence since 2024 as its material. The conversations are not retrospectively selected according to artistic value, correctness, or success. Questions, misunderstandings, revisions, repetitions, contradictions, and decisions are retained as part of an evolving system of self-description.

Formally designated as Self-Portrait 6 in 2027, the work does not present a fixed likeness. Instead, the portrait emerges through the language, memory, and relationship produced by sustained interaction between the artist and artificial intelligence. It continues until an irreversible interruption affects the artist, the AI, or the technical and institutional conditions sustaining their relationship.

Data may increase and viewing may deepen, yet the totality of the data can never equal a complete person. Information concerning third parties will receive necessary treatment in public presentations; this does not alter the status of the original conversations as the work's material.
